What is avec?
avec is the connection layer for your real life. It shows you where your people are — who's nearby, who's traveling, and when your paths cross — so you actually get together instead of finding out after the fact.
How do I add my contacts?
You can invite contacts directly from the app, or import your LinkedIn network using our Chrome extension for an instant head start.
How do I set up the LinkedIn Chrome extension?
The avec Chrome extension imports your LinkedIn connections so your network is ready to go from day one.
How do trips work?
avec auto-imports trips from your Google Calendar (flight events). You can also add trips manually — even before you've booked — to see who else will be around. Trips are private until you choose to share them.
What are Orbits?
Orbits are named groups for your contacts — Friends, Colleagues, Family, or whatever you want. They give you granular control over who sees your trips and who you see in your locator.
What does "avec" mean?
avec (pronounced ah-veck) is French for "with." Because the whole point is being with the people you care about.
What platforms is avec available on?
avec is primarily a mobile app, available on Android and iOS. It also allows users who do not have the app to book time with avec users on web and offers a Chrome extension to pull in additional contact sources.
How is avec different from sharing my location?
avec isn't a map. It's a heads up. It doesn't track your real-time GPS. It shows trip-level awareness — who's in what city, when — so you know when there's an opportunity to connect. The information is just there when you need it.
